The Greenup Fire
Department and its members wish to congratulate firefighter Johnny
Meadows - the 2007
 Firefighter
of the Year.
Johnny has been a dedicated member of the department since 1991. He is
the proud husband of Delena Meadows and father to 3 children. Johnny is
a graduate from Greenup County High School, a former employee of the
Greenup County Emergency Medical Services, and is currently employee at
Kings Daughters Medical Center as a Certified Medical Technician. Johnny
has always strived toward bettering himself as well as everyone around
him and is one person that could be depended upon to get the job done.
If the question was asked around the station, "What is Johnny like?" You
would likely get 2 answers, quiet and professional. This is very true,
except when the fire department's version of "Elvis" is in the
building.
The consensus of the other members was that credit was long overdue.
Upon presentation of the award, Johnny felt that others were more
deserving, but the majority of his peers determined otherwise. Johnny
is a excellent role model that every fireman should strive to
exemplify.
On behalf of the Greenup Fire Department, we would like to take this
opportunity to say a well deserved CONGRATULATIONS and Thank You for
being one of the City of Greenup's finest Volunteers. |
