Jeremy Gullett, 22, a resident of Greenup County was Killed in Action, Wednesday, May 7, 2008.   He was traveling with his unit and died in Afghanistan as a result of a road-side bomb (IED).   Jeremy is the first Greenup Countian to be lost in Operation Enduring Freedom.  Immediate survivors include his wife, Janeth and a daughter, Katie. 

Jeremy was a Firefighter with Little Sandy Vol. Fire Dept.  He was a Specialist in the US ARMY and assigned to the 101st. Airborne Unit out of Fort Campbell Kentucky. 

The members of the Greenup Fire Department and employees at Greenup County EMS Station #2 wish to extend our condolences to Jeremy’s family & friends.  Jeremy’s dedication to his community and the service to his Fire Dept. and his Country will never be forgotten.  Our thoughts and Prayers go out to the family.
