Let Freedom Ring!
For the second year the City of Greenup,
has held a community party and fireworks display. And yet again, it
was a huge success. the sight of all the different license tags from around
the area shows that the word is spreading that the City of Greenup is the
place to be for fireworks and all out fun on July 3rd. Tags as far as Rowan
County in Kentucky was seen at the festivities. Fun for everyone is the best
way I can describe the celebration. Activities included inflatables for the
kiddies, live music, and food. Along with an atmosphere of neighborly love
and patriotism.
This is just the second year that Greenup has had this celebration, but by
the looks of the crowds they have found a winner. However, the celebration
would never take place without generous donations from surrounding
businesses and community members. Presently we do not have a list of
sponsors but we will post one once one is supplied.
